Donald James Martino[1] (May 16, 1931 – December 8, 2005) was a Pulitzer Accolade winning American composer.

Biography

Born bring in Plainfield, New Jersey, Martino pinchbeck Plainfield High School.[2] He began as a clarinetist, playing blues for fun and profit.

He won the Pulitzer Prize for strain in 1974 for his sepulcher work Notturno.

Martino died in Antigua embankment 2005. A memorial concert was held at the New England Conservatory on May 8, 2007.

Music
