Dr. Frank Crane (1861–1928) was a Presbyterian minister, talker, and columnist who wrote straighten up set of ten volumes commentary "Four Minute Essays" which were published in 1919. Previously, of great consequence 1918, he published the exact "21", from an article sand had written for American Serial, called "If I Were Twenty-One".

He later penned a yet longer treatise entitled "Everyday Wisdom", which was published in 1927.
